This weekend I enjoyed photographing beautiful Detroit Wedding. Who would have thought that at the beginning of October we will still be enjoying 80 degrees and sunshine and we took advantage of it and captured the big day on the streets of Detroit. Graffiti and urban ruggedness contrasted with beautiful white wedding gown of the bride and crisp tux of the groom. We stopped by graffiti walls at Creative Corridor, Fox Theater, Tiger of Comerica Park and Dirty Trick. Detroit has so much to offer with it beautiful landmarks. And this couple enjoyed their wedding at places that meant most to them, from bright colors of graffiti, created by local artists to landmarks known to every Detroiter. The ceremony took as to Belle Isle Conservatory, where flowers were still in bloom, and a curious bee landed on grooms boutonniere. You can see more of my wedding photography here

Holidays are upon us, and with the holiday season comes the picture taking, and all the pictures with screaming kids, family dog walking in front of the family photo, someones moth having crumbs from the cookie they just ate. So here are few hot tips to get great pictures for holidays. 1. Don't make it to be a Big Deal.
Not many people put on they Christmas sweater and get very excited to take a Christmas photo. The best chance of getting great photo is not by matching everyone's sweater, rather check that everyone is clean and unwrinkled. Keep clothing, simple and stay away from patterns.
2. Get rid of distractions
Turn of the screens- TV, Cellphone, Ipods and Ipads, computer. To concentrate your and families attention on task at hand, don't be distracted with phone ringing, sports game or TV show. Make sure all eyes are on camera.
Unless your pet has to to be the family photo, you may have to put your pet in the other room, because, chances are, of all the times that your cat lays on a corner of the sofa, as soon as family assembles for the photo, cat will find the way to cause a distraction. And I'm not just picking on cats, the family dog will have to investigate as soon as you all sit together for the picture as well.
3. Make it fun.
I usually have a bright beanie frog toy attached to my lens with hair elastic band. For those, who don't have DSLR cameras, wear a funny hat, make your subjects say funny things, like "Elves have stinky feet",know what makes your subjects giggle. Great images may not be the ones that everyone is perfect, great images are the ones that bring memories of having fun time.
