For "People behind the local Business" article I'm happy to introduce my friend and a wonder-woman Wendy Pinter. Wendy is the midwife and owner of Nine Short Months Birth and Community Wellness Center. It has been amazing to see her business grow and expand leaps and bounds. Her business has even been featured on the new segment Parent-2-Parent.
Wendy has great passion for her work. Listening to her birth stories, you can hear her dedications to the families that come to her birth center. She has created calm and comfortable atmosphere for the new parents to bring their child into this world with supportive midwives. While the birth of the child is the peak of the pregnancy experience, the prenatal and postpartum care is what makes the journey with Nine Short Months a step above.
But what leaves me in awe is Wendy's generosity in everyday life - from being a mom, to her serving in Navy reserves, to volunteering for North Oakland County’s Veterans Treatment Court as a veteran mentor to those navigating their way through crisis or addiction, to being a a helping hand when someone is trouble, to continuing with college courses and advancing in her field. She has inspired me to reach for my goals.
